About IPBF 2023

The 2023 Indo-Pacific Business Forum (IPBF 2023) was hosted and sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the U.S. Department of State, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, marked a significant and successful public-private U.S. government event. This forum aimed to promote trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the United States and its partners throughout the Indo-Pacific region.

On January 12, 2023, in Tokyo, Japan, the in-person hybrid forum resounded with success. It exemplified a genuine hybrid event with a main stage in Tokyo, and satellite components in Dhaka and Manila, illustrating its global reach and impact. The fusion of the in-person forum in Tokyo, Japan, and the innovative virtual platform truly transformed the Indo-Pacific Business Forum into an all-encompassing and inclusive experience.

IPBF Highlights and Outcomes

The entire forum saw the enthusiastic participation of more than 1300 individuals from both public and private sectors, featured 54 speakers, represented 55 countries, and offered 18 enlightening keynotes, sessions, and roundtables. The forum covered a wide range of important topics, including sustainable growth, clean energy decarbonization, infrastructure investment, the digital economy, and supply chains. The combination of in-person and virtual features created a multifaceted, immersive experience that not only showcased the significance of the Indo-Pacific region but also demonstrated the power of technology in fostering global collaboration and economic growth.
