Mr Riggall is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Sunrise Energy Metals, an Australian-listed company developing one of the
world’s largest integrated battery materials projects on the east coast of Australia. Mr Riggall has spent his career in mining and technology companies, advocating for more efficient approaches to mining and mineral processing to deliver better environmental and supply chain outcomes. Prior to Sunrise Energy Metals, Mr Riggall was head of strategy and planning at Ivanhoe Mines where he worked actively in Central Asia, Africa and Australia. He has led negotiations with national governments and parliaments to secure development agreements for some of the world’s largest mine developments. Prior to Ivanhoe Mines, Mr Riggall spent over a decade at the Rio Tinto Group in exploration, project development and capital allocation roles. Most recently, Mr Riggall served on the Australian Government’s Modern Manufacturing Taskforce on Critical Minerals and Resource Technologies.
