Mitch Abdon is a consultant in the Digital Development Global Practice at the World Bank, supporting the World Bank’s engagements on digitalization, including the implementation of the national ID system, digital transformation efforts in social protection delivery, and developing capacity in data science. She is also managing the setting up of Co-Develop’s Technical Resource Lab in the Philippines, which aims to accelerate the government’s adoption and implementation of digital public infrastructure projects by localizing technical capacity and innovation. She was a former Director at the Philippine Department of Finance, where she led the fiscal economics research and data analytics team. She has previously worked as chief data scientist at the UNDP’s PintigLab, M&E specialist for a USAID project, and Economics Officer at the Asian Development Bank. Mitch holds a master’s degree in information and data science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MA in Economics and a BS in Mathematics from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
