Mr. Mashiur Rahman is a telecommunication veteran with over three decades of invaluable experience in the Bangladesh telecommunications industry. He is one of the very few resources in Bangladesh having proven expertise in building, operating and maintaining subsea cables. As the current CEO of CdNet Communications Limited (CdNet), a premier submarine cable company in Bangladesh, Mr. Rahman continues to leverage his vast expertise to drive innovation and excellence in the telecommunications sector. Under his leadership, CdNet remains at the forefront of technological advancements, facilitating seamless connectivity and fostering digital transformation. Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Rahman held instrumental positions in key organizations, leaving an indelible mark on each. His tenure as the Managing Director & CEO of Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Ltd. (BSCCL) witnessed remarkable advancements in submarine cable infrastructure, enhancing connectivity both domestically and internationally. As the former Director-General of the Telecom Department at the Ministry of Post & Telecom, his leadership steered pivotal policies and initiatives, shaping the telecommunications landscape of Bangladesh. Mr. Rahman also played pivotal roles from early 1991 to mid-2016 in Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (BTTB) and later in Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL), where his strategic vision propelled the growth and modernization of telecommunications infrastructure and services in the country. Mr. Rahman's journey in telecommunications began with his academic pursuits, earning both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the prestigious Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and subsequently accomplishing BCS exams for govt. civil services.
