W. Larry McDonald is the Acting Assistant Secretary for International Markets at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.  In this capacity, he oversees international financial markets and regulation, international trade policy, trade finance, energy and and infrastructure finance, and the Office of Technical Assistance, which helps developing and transition countries strengthen public financial management and financial sector oversight.  He has been the Acting Assistant Secretary since January 2021, and prior was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Technical Assistance Policy.
