Ambassador Kiminori IWAMAserves as Ambassador of Japan to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.  Before arriving in Bangladesh, he served as Consul General of Japan in Düsseldorf, Germany.  His prior positions have included Chief of Protocol; Minister, Embassy of Japan in Germany; Minister, Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Thailand; Director, Oceania Division; Director Loan Aid Division; and more.  He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986 after graduating from University of Kyoto with a B.A. in Law.
