Shahir grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, before moving to the UK for university in 2005. He has over 11 years of experience working in UK financial services across sales and business development in addition to accountancy, treasury, business planning, and strategy roles. He was most recently a Director at HSBC UK’s Private Bank where he provided wealth management advice for high-net-worth clients with a focus on entrepreneurs. Prior to that he was Vice President at Barclays Wealth managing ~£250 million of private client assets as a regulated investment advisor. He holds a BSc Hons degree in Business Management from Cardiff University, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter-holder and has also completed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
