{"id":1593,"date":"2021-10-22T18:01:48","date_gmt":"2021-10-22T18:01:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indopacificbusinessforum.com\/?post_type=allspeakers&#038;p=1593"},"modified":"2021-10-22T18:01:49","modified_gmt":"2021-10-22T18:01:49","slug":"tony-greubel","status":"publish","type":"allspeakers","link":"https:\/\/indopacificbusinessforum.com\/2021\/allspeakers\/tony-greubel\/","title":{"rendered":"Tony Greubel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tony Greubel assumed his position as C<em>harg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires ad interim&nbsp;<\/em>at the United States Embassy in Suva on January 20, 2021.&nbsp; He previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Suva beginning in March 2020.&nbsp; Tony was also the Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in Apia, Samoa beginning in August 2017.&nbsp; From 2015-2017, Tony was the Senior Pacific Islands Desk Officer in the East Asia Pacific Bureau\u2019s Office of Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands Affairs. &nbsp;He managed bilateral relations with five Pacific island countries\u2014Fiji, Tonga, Kiribati, Nauru, and Tuvalu.&nbsp; From 2012-2015, Tony served as American Citizens Services Unit Chief at the United States Embassy in Beijing. &nbsp;In this capacity, Tony was also responsible for providing consular services to American citizens in North Korea, in coordination with the Embassy of Sweden in Pyongyang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in his career, Tony served as consular section chief in Surabaya, Indonesia, and performed consular and diplomatic work in Ottawa, Canada and Lahore, Pakistan. &nbsp;He also worked as a management analyst in the State Department\u2019s Bureau of Consular Affairs. &nbsp;Tony received a bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of Southern Indiana and a master\u2019s degree from Indiana State University. &nbsp;He is married to Izumi Mochizuki Greubel of Shizuoka, Japan. &nbsp;They have two sons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1594,"template":"","categories":[],"class_list":["post-1593","allspeakers","type-allspeakers","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/indopacificbusinessforum.com\/2021\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/allspeakers\/1593","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/indopacificbusinessforum.com\/2021\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/allspeakers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/indopacificbusinessforum.com\/2021\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/allspeakers"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/indopacificbusinessforum.com\/2021\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1594"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/indopacificbusinessforum.com\/2021\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1593"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/indopacificbusinessforum.com\/2021\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=1593"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
